MIAMI — Rivero Mestre is pleased to announce that Sylmarie Trujillo has been named partner.
“Sylmarie is a fierce advocate who consistently delivers excellent work and meaningful contributions to the team,” Jorge A. Mestre said. “We’re excited to see her continued growth and success.”
Sylmarie focuses her practice on complex, cross-border disputes, specifically involving Latin America and Europe. She played a key role on the Rivero Mestre trial team in the landmark Helms-Burton jury trial, where a federal jury awarded $29.8 million in damages against four Expedia corporate defendants. Throughout the trial, Sylmarie led direct and cross examinations, managed demonstratives, contributed to pre-trial strategy, and provided crucial real-time support in the courtroom.
She has also been integral in other high-stakes litigation matters involving the FCPA, fraud, tort claims, federal and state court litigation, and international arbitration.
