Three Partners Receive Top Rankings

MIAMI — Rivero Mestre announced today that the firm has been recognized by Chambers & Partners in the 2023 edition of Chambers USA as a Band-1 firm in the category Litigation: General Commercial: The Elite in Florida. Chambers also recognized partners Andrés Rivero, Jorge A. Mestre, and the late Amanda McGovern for General Commercial Litigation.

Amanda was recognized as a top-tier, Band-1 litigator. Clients attested to Amanda being one of the best litigators in Florida stating she was “smart, tenacious and extraordinarily polished” and “one of the most thoughtful and strategic lawyers I have come across.” We remember her commitment to be a great lawyer and to be her authentic self.

Andrés has been recognized by Chambers since 2014. He too is ranked a Band-1 litigator. One commentator states, “Andrés has great insight into how to achieve an excellent result, without getting lost in the weeds.”

Jorge has been recognized by Chambers for the past nine years. “Jorge is not only a great attorney but he also has an excellent commercial aptitude, which benefits his clients,” one commenter says. Another states “Jorge has the ability to connect with and inspire confidence in his clients.”

According to a Chambers USA’s referee interviews regarding the firm, “Rivero Mestre is a dynamic and high-caliber firm,” and “the team demonstrates incredible skill at trial.”

The firm has consistently won high-profile disputes, including prevailing in Kleiman v. Wright on behalf of their client, the self-proclaimed inventor of Bitcoin, in an intensely litigated, multi-billion-dollar case. Also, in Chevron v. Donziger, Rivero Mestre successfully represented the attorney for a Chevron subsidiary. This case was part of the $100 billion,18-year litigation over alleged environmental damage in the Amazon.
