Andrés Rivero and Jorge A. Mestre were featured in the Daily Business Review as 2023 Florida Legal Awards Distinguished Leaders.

They were recognized for their leadership of Rivero Mestre, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary and continues to achieve remarkable results in some of the highest-profile cases in the U.S. and the world. Notably, in the last couple of years, the firm has prevailed in a federal jury trial in Kleiman v. Wright, where the firm defended Craig Wright, the self-proclaimed inventor of Bitcoin, in an intensely litigated, multibillion-dollar multi-year case; a Spanish-language arbitration trial, winning a zero judgment for a major Guatemalan bank, Bantrab and achieving judicial recognition of the arbitration judgment; and before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal, where they persuaded the appellate court to reverse a district court order so that the firm can proceed to prosecute a Helms-Burton lawsuit against defendants Trivago GMBH, B.V., Expedia Inc., and other travel companies.
