NEW YORK — Michael A. Fernandez will be speaking on the New York City Bar Association’s in-person panel, “Blockchain-Crypto-Digital Assets: Recent Developments in Latin America and the United States” on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 6 p.m. EST. 

The New York City Bar Association’s panel will be a discussion of the recent developments in the regulatory and enforcement frameworks in the United States and how they bear on Latin America. The panel will address recent U.S. civil litigations around crypto-assets and what this might mean for cross-border arbitrations and litigations involving Bitcoin. 

Fernández’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation, international arbitration, and regulatory compliance issues. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, he has experience representing foreign and domestic companies and individuals involved in arbitrations, litigations, and with investigations in the U.S., as well as parties to international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations conducted under the major international rules including UNCITRAL, ICSID, and ICDR.
