MIAMI—Rivero Mestre LLP proudly announces that Zalman Kass has been named a partner at the firm.

“Zalman is an excellent lawyer and also a highly effective leader within the firm,” said Andres Rivero. “He is perfectly aligned with our strategic goals of growth and game changing service, and we are excited to see him in his new role as partner.

Kass is an experienced commercial litigator with a specific focus on the financial industry and cryptocurrency. He is currently representing Dr. Craig Wright in a lawsuit that alleges he is the inventor of the crypto currency Bitcoin—and the blockchain itself— and that he has stolen half of the $22 billion fortune thus created. He is also representing 14 former bank directors, including the former chairman and president, in FDIC v. Galan-Alvarez, et al., a dispute in federal court for $257 million, arising from the FDIC’s takeover of R-G Premier Bank of Puerto Rico.
