Sylmarie Trujillo focuses her practice on complex, cross-border disputes, specifically involving Latin America. She has played an important role in a wide-range of high-stakes litigation matters involving the FCPA, fraud, tort claims, federal and state court litigation, and international arbitration. Sylmarie leverages her strong attention to detail, excellent writing and communication skills, and data-focused mind to consistently produce high-quality work product.
Before joining Rivero Mestre, Sylmarie earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. She earned her Juris Doctor at Florida International University College of Law. While there, she served as the Executive Managing Editor for the FIU Law Review and was a member of the Board of Advocates, earning 10th Best Oralist in the Price Media Moot Court Competition at Oxford University. She also earned the FIU Law Award for Outstanding Oral Advocacy Skills. Sylmarie is fluent in Spanish.
