Brandon Cruz is a commercial litigator who represents individuals and businesses in complex cases. Prior to starting his role as an associate, he gained experience as a Rivero Mestre law clerk working on several high-profile, cross-border matters.

Brandon earned his Juris Doctor degree at Florida International University College of Law. During law school, Brandon excelled academically and gained recognition for his writing and oral advocacy skills. Brandon was vice president of the moot court team and represented FIU Law in several competitions, leading his team each time to various awards. Brandon also served as a teaching assistant for FIU Law’s legal writing class and interned for the Honorable Rudolph Contreras, United States District Judge for the District of Columbia.

Before law school, Brandon served as a senior aide to City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, where he managed scheduling as well as all operations and logistics for the mayor and the office. He also liaised with City staff to provide services for constituents and served as the City’s chief protocol officer. Brandon earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government at the University of Miami. He is fluent in Spanish.
