
Meagan Nicholson is a commercial litigator who represents multinational companies and individuals in high-profile, high-stakes matters and cross-border disputes.
Meagan also represents third-party payers in several high-profile class action and multidistrict actions, including In re Valsartan, Losartan, and Irbesartan Products Liability Litigation, a multidistrict proceeding involving the largest Class I pharmaceutical drug recall of the second-most prescribed blood pressure medicines in the United States; In re Metformin Marketing & Sales Practices Litigation, a consolidated class action against several manufacturers and distributors of Metformin, the most prescribed type II diabetes drug in the United States; In re Chantix Varenicline Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation, a multidistrict proceeding involving a pharmaceutical drug recall; In re Exactech Polyethylene Orthopedic Products Liability Litigation, a multi district proceeding involving defective representing defective knee, hip, and ankle implants; and In re: Philips Recalled CPAP, Bi-Level PAP, & Mechanical Ventilator Litigation, a multidistrict proceeding against the largest producer of CPAP and BiPAP machines in the world.
Prior to joining Rivero Mestre, Meagan gained experience in the areas of insurance defense and construction litigation, working as an associate at Florida-based litigation firms. She also worked for the Florida Department of Children and Families, Children’s Legal Services, representing the state in dependency litigation.
Meagan earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, she served as the Managing Editor of the University of Miami International and Comparative Law Review. Before attending law school, she graduated with honors from Florida State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Policy, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science.
