Anthony Hearn is a commercial litigator with extensive experience representing enterprises and individuals in disputes with various insuring entities.
Prior to joining Rivero Mestre, Anthony represented health care providers, hospital-based provider groups, and behavioral health systems in high-value litigation seeking fair market value reimbursements from private health insurance payers (i.e., United Health Care, CIGNA, etc.). Ancillary to this area of litigation, Anthony defended health care providers’ revenue cycle management practices from private payer recoupment and prospective non-payment audits. Anthony routinely represents enterprises and professionals directly against their insurance companies on insurance denials and reservations of rights arising out of third-party liability scenarios. As part of his insurance practice, Anthony has accumulated considerable experience prosecuting the rights of individuals who have purchased unauthorized insurance products or been the victim of illegal premium collection schemes in violation of Florida’s Unfair Insurance Trade Practices Act, Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, as well as state and federal Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations laws.
