MIAMI — Rivero Mestre attorneys Amanda L. Fernandez, Taylor Diaz, and law clerk Daniela Acosta recently attended the Cuban American Bar Association’s Annual Art in the Tropics event at the HistoryMiami Museum. Amanda serves as President of CABA and Immediate Past President of CABA Pro Bono Legal Services.

The “Noche de Fortuna” themed event, part of CABA’s 20th anniversary annual fundraiser, raised over $50,000 for CABA Pro Bono Legal Services. The evening also featured the graduation ceremony for the 2025 L.E.A.D. Fellows, where Taylor Diaz was recognized as a program graduate.

CABA Pro Bono Legal Services aims to support children, individuals, and families through legal advocacy. The program offers free, direct legal assistance for civil matters to low-income Florida residents. CABA is a non-profit voluntary bar association founded in 1974 by lawyers of Cuban descent.

The two-day convention featured CLEs, networking opportunities, and a special proclamation from the Miami-Dade County Commissioners officially designating August 8 as ‘CABA Day.’

CABA is a non-profit voluntary bar association founded in 1974 by lawyers of Cuban descent. CABA’s members include judges, lawyers, and law students of all backgrounds interested in issues affecting the Cuban community, as well as broader legal and human rights issues impacting minority communities as a whole.
