Zaharah R. Markoe focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation, arbitrations, appellate litigation, and government enforcement defense. She has nearly two decades of litigation experience in criminal and civil litigation, and in both state and federal courts.

Prior to joining Rivero Mestre, Markoe was counsel at a prominent Miami bankruptcy boutique and before that was an attorney with Kobre & Kim, LLP, where she focused on government enforcement defense, class-action defense, internal investigations, and complex commercial litigation often involving financial institutions. Before entering private practice, Markoe served as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, New York, where she was assigned to the Appeals Bureau, handling all post-conviction relief matters in state appellate courts and United States District Court.
