Kirk Villalón attended law school at Florida International University College of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian of his class.

While in law school, he served as the Executive Business Editor of the FIU Law Review and as President of the Student Bar Association. He was awarded the Dean’s List Commendation every semester and earned book awards in Torts, Federal Civil Procedure, Wills and Trusts, Sales, Secured Transactions, Latin American Law and Politics, Bankruptcy, Florida Condominiums, and Death Penalty.

Additionally, while in law school, he worked as judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Rudolph Contreras, United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Villalón is fluent in Spanish.
