MIAMI — Rivero Mestre successfully defended Oscar Lama Saieh against Andre Gerondeau, Mireya Becerra de Gerondeau and Philippe Gerondeau in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court. On October 21, M. Paula Aguila argued at a special set hearing that the appropriate forum for this action is the Dominican Republic, and that the amended complaint should be dismissed on the doctrine of forum non conveniens. On December 17, the Circuit Court granted the motion to dismiss finding that the appropriate forum for the action is the Dominican Republic, not Miami, Fla. Jorge A. Mestre and Aguila represented Saieh.
